Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have come to the end of their love story.
After dating for six years, the couple recently broke up, with sources close to the Grammy winner and
the Conversations with Friends actor attributing the split to “differences in their personalities.”
According to the source, Swift, 33, and Alwyn, 32, have faced challenges in the past but managed to
work things out. However, this time it seems that the differences between them were insurmountable.
Ultimately, they were not the right match for each other.
Representatives for Swift and Alwyn have chosen not to comment on the breakup.
The musician known for “Lavender Haze” was first linked publicly to the British actor in May 2017. It was
revealed that they had been quietly dating for several months. While the exact time of their initial
meeting remains unclear, fans have speculated that Swift and Alwyn first crossed paths at the 2016 Met
Gala. The source adds that they fell in love during a period when Swift was seeking solace from the
world while working on her 2017 studio album, Reputation. The pandemic further solidified their
relationship as they spent the lockdown together, allowing them to nurture their connection in a
protected environment. However, it seems that Alwyn didn’t fully know Swift beyond that bubble.
Throughout their relationship, the couple chose to keep the details of their romance private and rarely
addressed engagement rumors that circulated in recent years.
Sources reveal that Swift and Alwyn bonded over their shared love for art and creativity. In fact, Alwyn,
who used the pseudonym William Bowery, co-wrote and/or co-produced ten songs with Swift.
However, insiders suggest that Alwyn, who expressed a desire for privacy whenever questioned about
Swift in interviews, struggled with the spotlight.
As per source “The level of fame and public attention surrounding Taylor has been challenging for Joe,”
They drifted apart.”
According to multiple sources, marriage was a topic of discussion between Swift and Alwyn until just a
few months ago. However, in the end, they realized that they weren’t ready for a future together. The
split was recent and reportedly unfolded without drama.
“They remain amicable. Taylor has nothing negative to say about Joe,” adds the insider. “They simply
grew apart. Right now, Taylor is fully focused on her tour.”
Despite the breakup, there is still a great deal of respect between Swift and Alwyn.
Currently, Swift is performing concerts across North America as part of The Eras Tour. Shortly before
news of her split from Alwyn emerged, she surprised the audience by replacing the Folklore track
“Invisible String,” which highlights the bond between soulmates, with “The 1,” a song that centers
around lost love and reminiscing about what once was.
Swift had her recent concerts in Arlington, Texas, After this also Swift spotted shooting a music video in
Liverpool, England, in last week. Her upcoming shows will take place on April 13, 14, and 15 in Tampa,
Florida.
